Our premier tests* include:

Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM) Tests—including the most thoroughly validated western blot test, as well as other EPM tests.
Equine Herpesvirus Types 1 and 4 (EHV-1 and EHV-4) RealPCR™ Test—use real-time PCR to deliver unprecedented speed and accuracy in detecting the presence of EHV-1 and EHV-4 DNA.
Salmonella RealPCR™ Test—uses real-time PCR to identify infection in symptomatic and asymptomatic horses in just 24 hours.
Streptococcus equi (S. equi) Testing—the S. equi RealPCR™ Test quickly identifies horses with current infections or that are asymptomatic carriers, and the exclusive IDEXX/EBI S. equi ELISA Test measures the SeM response elicited by natural infection or vaccination.
Rhodococcus equi (R. equi) RealPCR™ Test detects R. equi strains that contain the virulence plasmid (VapA gene).

*These tests can be sent to an IDEXX laboratory via courier (where service is available) or mail/common carrier. Sending them directly to our Kentucky laboratory location will result in the fastest turnaround time.
